It is scholarly in tons, but not excessively technical. It is extremely detailed. The TOC is extremely granular so the book is easy to navigate in. The used paperback I have is least 750 pages. It covers all the fifteenth century Englis| |`stimulating and important' Daily Telegraph|From the Back Cover|Each volume is an independent book, but the whole series forms a continuous history of England from the Roman period to the present century.
